The Core Remedy was formulated by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, with over 10 years clinical experience and the proud mum of two boys, Kate.
From both her own experience and with other mums & women, as well as experience from a clinical standpoint, she noticed that majority (if not all) of the women she talked about pelvic health, incontinence, weakness or dysfunction & pain with, that they all shared similar issues or struggled with this at some point in their life, and often, alone.
There is also an unfortunate stigma that exists where there is a lot of shame around this area of health which makes it difficult to speak about this with health professionals or even each other, and a society where there is a lot of pressure on women to be it all. This can make it difficult for women to be vulnerable and access timely health services to heal their core and prioritise their pelvic health, despite it being very common for most women at some stage to have challenges with this.
Also for those with young kids; teenagers and for those with busy lifestyles, even being able to get to a regular appointment is both logistically difficult and costly and therefore this area of self care tends to drop the to the bottom of the priority list, and tragically majority of women just - live with it.
Initially, for Kate, the core remedy idea to provide support and education and specific exercise prescription began with her own mothers group, later progressed to running mums and bub’s sessions to assist mums return to activity in a safe space and following pilates training, & post graduate postnatal training, has now progressed to formulate the core remedy program online.
The online program was formulated as The Core Remedy team are passionate about being able to reach ALL women struggling with this issue. Also, and with the challenges of the modern world that we live, and the juggle that is motherhood it is very difficult for women to be able to access good quality rehabilitation and this type of specific exercise prescription, both face to face and in a normal fitness setting.
This program therefore aims to provide that expertise from the comfort of your own home, in an achievable provision to fill the gap between the 6-week check and return to the dynamic activity of your choice, as well as a number of other offerings to assist women be their best selves and live an active health lifestyle, with the collective vision that they have freedom from these issues,
